Snow, Deer!

It’s a snow morning in Ashland — the first of 2012! — and a pair of deer took refuge on our path this morning. Funnny thing is, three hours later and they’re still there!

Fabulous picture. it must have been one of those come around the corner moments and there they are. I love that. It happened to me kayaking with a lonely seal sunning on a tiny rock. It feels like the animals are saying listen I am going to pretend your not there and please don't disturb me cause I don't want to move.
