Sunrise in Mũi Né, Vietnam

Our second morning in Mũi Né I woke up ridiculously early. In typical geek fashion, I looked at the time on my iPhone before noticing the warm glow through the curtains, and hearing the splashing of waves on the beach just steps from our door. I then checked the sunrise time on my favorite sunrise clock VelaClock, and realized it was just about five minutes to sunup. I quietly unzipped my camera bag, grabbed the Mk III and the 24mm ƒ1.4, and snuck out the door.

This first shot was my first photo of the morning. Notice the fishermen in the basket boats making their way back to shore.

This second was the last before heading back in, only seven minutes later. Different exposure, obviously.

Which do you like better? I really can’t decide.

Awesome pics, Joseph! I like the first one better for its softer colors...

First pic is my favorite as well. The first looks like sunrise and the second like sunset.

First, nice colors and something interesting in at least five different places.
