The Bến Thành Market in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

This morning we went on a photo walk at 6am to the Bến Thành Market in Ho Chi Minh City. What a glorious, beautiful place. Some of the vegetarians in our group were less than thrilled, which I suppose isn’t too surprising. Honestly, it just made me hungry :)

Here’s a few photos, but these and many more have been added to the much larger galleries on my official photojoseph gallery as well Flickr and Facebook.

I love love love that last one! Were the people in general at all self-conscious, or did they just let you wander and shoot away? Seems like this lady already had plenty on her mind. :)

Thanks Angela! Some people chased us away, but most were quite happy to have their photo taken, or to simply ignore us. That lady may have been yelling to someone to drag me away and gut me like a fish for all I know. ;-)

The shot of the shrimp is stunning. Love the way they are turned toward the light.
