A Cold Snowy Morning on Lake Hartwell

Brrr… or as they say in Slovenian, ušššš!!

We woke up to a touch of snow this morning. Immediately following a hot coffee (hey, priorities man, priorities!) we headed out to grab some shots in the snow. This is what happens when you’re dating a photographer… “baby, stand here”… “But I just woke up!”… “uh-huh”  ;-)

Photos treated in Aperture with ApertureExpert’s Adjustment Preset Pack #1

More photos in the gallery and on flickr, too.

Beautiful photos. :)
What are you doing in Slovenia? My mother's family is from there. We were there two summers ago for a family reunion. Wonderful place.

We're not in Slovenia now; the photos are from Lake Hartwell (Anderson, SC). However my girlfriend, who's in the photos, is from Slovenia. Plus I just like saying "uššššš"!

You're right. Hartwell is not very Slovenian. You did mention a few posts back that you had been so that's what I was really wondering about. I'd love to see your photos. Since we were there in summer I didn't hear that word. Is it pronounced "oosh"?

I've been to Slovenia on average once per year the last three years, but I haven't posted anything from my last trip yet. I'm way way behind on these things. However here are photos from previous trips: Category: Slovenia.

Boštjan,

Thanks! The portraits are with the Canon 24-70/2.8 and the lake scenics are with the 70-200/4.0.
